I.O.I Announces 10th Anniversary Comeback: Mini Album I.O.I : LOOP and Title Track “Suddenly”

I.O.I is officially returning for its 10th anniversary with a new release built around reunion energy and a forward-facing concept. The group’s third mini album, I.O.I : LOOP, is set to drop on May 19, 2026, alongside the music video for its title track “Suddenly.”

The rollout has been structured like a modern K-pop comeback cycle, with a steady stream of teasers, concept photos, and video content. Soompi reports that I.O.I also released a music video teaser for “Suddenly” as part of the countdown.

Ahead of the album, the group shared a pre-release track on May 4 titled “Goodbye With A Smile (Recorded in 2026)(Prod. Jinyoung).” The song is described as an “archive track” built around the members’ voices and emotions from the time of I.O.I’s original run, with production credited to Jinyoung.

Notably, the comeback is framed as a nine-member release. The teaser image for I.O.I : LOOP includes the names of the participating members: Jeon Somi, Kim Se Jeong, Choi Yoojung, Chungha, Kim So Hye, Jung Chaeyeon, Kim Doyeon, Lim Nayoung, and Yeonjung.

Soompi also notes that the album release is followed by a special concert tour, making this anniversary project more than a one-week promotional burst. For fans who grew up with Produce 101’s first season, I.O.I : LOOP reads like a time capsule that still wants to move in real time.
