SOPH. is a Japanese fashion company that started in 1998. Today it develops three brands: SOPHNET., uniform experiment and F.C. Real Bristol.
It began with the label now known as SOPHNET., conceived in 1998 as SOPH. and renamed in 2002, built around sophisticated daily wear with a strong design sensibility. Art and culture are the foundation of the brand, with collaborations involving contemporary artists such as Tatsuo Miyajima, Julian Opie and Jack Pearson. uniform experiment, launched in 2008 together with Hiroshi Fujiwara, takes men’s uniform attire as its starting point and experiments with it. It thinks outside the box, without conforming to existing rules, and draws on the cultural heritage of many eras to create original designs.
F.C. Real Bristol began in 1999 as football wear, built on the belief that fashion and football go hand in hand. It imagines a fictional team and a culture of unity and loyalty around it, and Nike was its official supplier for fifteen years. Today it keeps sport and lifestyle on common ground.
All three brands now meet at SOPH. Dosan in Seoul, a short walk from Apgujeong Rodeo Station. It is an easy stop on an afternoon between Apgujeong and Dosan, and a good place to meet all three brands in one visit.
