Hello, I’m Hyun-gyu Ko(@_gyu.gg), living a fashion life in the UK. I’m currently studying abroad in Manchester while working as a model, and I’m crazy about clothes.

Q: When you start coordinating, what comes to mind first, color or item?
That changes depending on the time, but usually… it’s the item. But when I choose an item, I also think about the color, so it feels like the “chicken or the egg” situation.

Q: What detail do you pay the most attention to when dressing?
Out of all the details, I think fit is the most important!! It feels like I fill in the details and create the point through the fit.

Q: Is there a place or experience that has influenced your style the most?
I think I take a lot of references from watching local people!!!

Q: When do you feel like, “today’s styling worked well”?
I think it’s when store staff or people ask me about outfit information!!

Q: Can you recommend one BGM track that would match a recent look you wore?
Hmm… regardless of the day of the week, I really listen every day to Sunday Morning by Maroon 5!!

Q: Is there a Korean brand you’d like to introduce to your foreign friends?
I’ve already recommended a few—for example, ggott and WeLoveT. Recently I came across a brand called 901cave, and it’s really nice. Especially because I think my friends here would wear it well, I want to introduce it more.

Q: Is there an item you always bring out when the season changes?
In spring, zip-ups or light outerwear. In summer, always Bermuda shorts. In autumn, sweatshirts. In winter, heavy outerwear like padded jackets!!
