Q: Please introduce yourself.
My name is Joost(@samuraimountaineer), 50 years living in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Together with my wife we run a Handbag brand for women.

Q: How would you describe your fashion style?
If my style would be a concept for a fashion company, I would call it “Samurai Mountaineering”. This is where my IG handle derived from. In “Samurai” there is Japan, Indigo, Military, Wabi Sabi and in “Mountaineering” there is Technical, Colorful, Functional and Sport.

Q: What do you consider the most important point when choosing your outfit?
As long as it is wide, comfortable and contains color

Q: What is your favorite brand and why do you like it?
That is a difficult one, but if I have to choose it is “Norbit by Hiroshi Nozawa”. He covers the Japanese way of Military wear perfectly! Next to this I like “Story MFG”, “Whitehill Mercantile for pants”, “11.11 Clothing”, “Nanga for anything with Down” and “Merely Made”

Q: If you could travel to space, what kind of outfit would you wear?
I would wear something very comfortable, wide fit and warm!

Q: Are there any Korean fashion brands you’re familiar with? (If yes, please mention the brand name and how you came to know it.)
My favorite Korean Brands are Merely Made, FrizmWORKS and Uniform Bridge. All of these were introduced via the best store to get those brands named ThisThingofOurs.co.uk
