Q: Can you introduce yourself?
Hello, I’m Kim Myunghyun(@iwasalreadythere), living in Seoul. I’m an ordinary office worker in my 30s who doesn’t just like fashion but enjoys the culture of fashion.

Q: When you start putting together an outfit, what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
I think it’s the overall atmosphere. I usually don’t have big mood swings and tend to be calm. So I feel like my outfit sets my vibe for the day. Of course, this is something only I feel.

Q: Is there an item you’ve worn many times but still feel excited about?
I think it’s a trucker jacket. I like the rough charm it gives off, and also the fact that I wear it during spring or fall. Aren’t those the best seasons to dress up?

Q: Do you think your surroundings influence your style?
Yes. Fashion is culture and a lifestyle. I’m sensitive to trends but also have clear preferences. Trends change quickly, and as they keep blending with my taste, I think I’m very much influenced by my surroundings.

Q: Are there days when you feel like your styling worked out especially well? If so, what’s the mood or reason?
I think it’s on days when I meet friends who love fashion like I do, or when I attend gatherings like that. I think it connects with what I said in question 4. I get inspired by them, and that feeling makes me excited.

Q: Are there any brands you often refer to or really like?
I don’t think there’s a particular brand I refer to.

Q: What makes you say “I like how I look today” when you see yourself in the mirror?
The silhouette 🙂
